OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAMME: The Impact of Policy in Improving Collaboration and Quality in Service Delivery
The agenda includes discussion on delivering the key elements which commits to setting specific measurable goals to reduce health inequalities among Vulnerable Children, through informed best practices and in line with SDGs.
Delegates will consider the impact of Quality Assurance and best practices in preventive care in child health. This programme will in addition provide opportunities for Networking. This will include a master class interactive session.
The Lecture series will also highlight the recent publication by the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund on Child’s right policy, which sets out a framework for integrating basic knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) – including steps to improve quality at a local level, working collaboratively with other focal agencies and priorities for imbibing optimum care to deliver improved health outcomes.
Addressing Barriers in Accessing Proper Healthcare among Vulnerable Children
Attendees will also discuss the impact of entrenching best practices in Child Health Services, such as key issues for prevention-focused healthcare and the best steps for tackling health inequalities at local level among Vulnerable Children.

This Lecture will provide a platform and an opportunity to engage with key policymakers and other stakeholders. Places have been reserved by attendees and officials from various MDAs, NGOs, Hospitals and Commissions including National Planning Commission; NISA Premier Hospital; National Primary Health Care Development Agency; Federal Ministry of Health; World Health Organization; AIDS Prevention Initiative of Nigeria (APIN); FCTA Health and Human Secretariat; Federal Ministry of Women Affairs; United Nations International Children Emergency Fund; United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization; National Hospital, etc. Overall, we expect speakers and attendees to be from senior and well-informed stakeholders.
BACKGROUND
The Lady Helen Child Health Foundation is a Research-Based Humanitarian Organization. The LHCHF is focused on providing medical support and developing insights on the best measures to support and assist Vulnerable Children in Nigeria. A key output of the Lecture Series will be a compilation of the presentations during proceedings which will be sent out 20 working days after the event to all Attendees. This document will include access to PowerPoint presentations, speaker’s biographies, as well as any articles or comment submitted by speakers or delegates.
