World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August to encourage breastfeeding and improve health of babies around the world.

The theme of World Breast Feeding Week 2020 is “Support Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet” in line with this theme, WHO and UNICEF are calling on Government to protect and promote women access to skilled breastfeeding counselling, a critical component of breastfeeding support.

Breastfeeding provides everychild with the best start in life, it delivers health, nutritional and emotional benefit to both children and mothers, and it forms part of a sustainable food system.

Lady Helen Child Health Foundation LHCHF supports and promote Health Practices that are essential and beneficial for the well-being of Women and Children especially the vulnerable children in our society.
